Welcome to Stroud Bridge Club.
We play every Wednesday evening, most
Thursday afternoons and alternate Sunday evenings in the winter. We can also point you to local teachers if you are a beginner.
Just below, in the Calendar, a link to play on RealBridge will appear in time for the next online session. Members will also receive an email with the link.
On the third and fifth Wednesdays of the month we play face to face. On the evening after the third Wednesday we are experimenting with running an extra online session, pairs with IMPS scoring.
The calendar will tell you what we are playing and when and this link will help you find out who is the standby, host or director on any near future dates

Your Local Bridge Community
Stroud Bridge Club is a great place to play bridge in a friendly and competitive atmosphere. It's a social hub to meet (whether face to face or online). We have a commitment to fostering a friendly and inclusive atmosphere and we run a variety of sessions with the aim that everyone finds one to suit them and everyone feels welcome. Bridge is not only about competition but also about building relationships and enjoying the camaraderie that comes with it. Your first couple of online sessions will be free and then you have a choice of membership options. Our face to face sessions are open to all but we have a limited capacity so we need people to let us know before they come along. Contact us. A couple of days beforehand, there will be links in the Calendar just above to play online and to sign up for the face to face sessions.
Our bridge sessions
Online
We play online bridge on the wonderful UK-based RealBridge platform:
Competitive (but friendly and welcoming) sessions every first, second and fourth Wednesday evening. Starts at 19.00 UK time but we need you to be logged in by 18.50 at the latest so we know who is playing and the director can arrange the movement.
We also have occasional and more informal Sunday evening sessions. These will continue until March and start again in November.

Face to face
Every third and fifth Wednesday we play face to face at the delightful Simple Cafe at the top of Stroud. We need you to let us know if you are coming because we have limited space so do contact us to find out more.
Friendly Afternoon Bridge (FAB)
Friendly Afternoon Bridge is ideal for returners, improvers and those wanting a friendly game.
13.45 for 14.00 start at the Octagon, Farmhill Lane, Stroud, The Octagon (map and directions).
We play gentle duplicate bridge aiming to play 20 boards by 16.45. There is always a spare, so no need to come with a partner.
These sessions are not suitable for complete beginners. The standard ranges from beginner+ (with support available) to experienced but the ethos is friendly and supportive
Between 20 and 40 players attend. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. For further information press the Contact button below
